Staying in EWA Beach!!!

Aloha!!! Well I am kinda freaking out!!! I have been here fore a whole transfer, Rachel met some of the new missionaries coming here this week to Hawaii!!! AHHH I might get to know one of them!! On Exchanges, My companion is sister trainer so we go on exchanges and one of the newer sisters is training and they are also opening 2 new sister areas in 2 of our exchange zones (does that makes sense?) It is crazy to think I could train next transfer too....I dont know...haha probably not for a while right? There is no telling!! Any ways so much has happned. I got pictrues with a Mutual Friend of Mine and Tali Gomez's she went to Tooele High School. And we went on exchanges.
Oh and they are opening a walking area for sisters...crazy!!! Our mission president will swap out in two transefers. Yea...So much is happening so lets start from the beginning!!
So Last week we went to Pearl Harbor for service. We swept the Ladders (not stairs) and then went exploring!!! I got some silly pictures of Sister Nielsen and on of the Zone leaders who is leaving. It was loads of fun. We missed the Tour they give when we go do service because we had an appointment. We beat traffic, traffic is bad here and got back To EWA Beach. We changed and went over to our appointment. I love the Deliz Family, he is a nonmember and has tons of questions. The spirit told me to shar Alma 32 27ish where it talks about how we must experiment upon my words. Sister Nielsen later told me she felt prompted to share it too but I got it out first. Then we asked him to read. We also answered a lot of questions. We hope to give him really good explinations that are backed up! Heavenly Father lead us to the family we had been meaning to go over and when we did was so right!!! Yea, things here are fantastic!!! Then on Thursday we normally visit Dale and his family but they were out of town. So we visited another family who is interested the Thompsons. They want to learn more but he needs to study for a big test and it could take a while before he can get his license. We are praying for him to have things worked out and a ward memeber is willing to help tuttor him so he can take the lessons. =]
Then we visited another family that a ward member introduced us to on Fast sunday. Their son was sick and wanted him to have a blessing so we were invied to tag along. They are looking for a nicer home then they plan to get married so the Mother can be baptized. We don't want to cross any lines but we feel that they were a gift and we want to help them blossom and grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Then on Friday I was on the North Shore with Sister Kimmons while Sister Nielsen Trained another sister (sister Hammond that is from tooele that is a mutual friend of me and TALI). It was a nice day and I feel like people I met was supposed to happen I learned a lot from them.
So Saturday we played CRAZY BALL....its Dodgeball but with Tennis Balls....and it hurts... and there are a ton of tenis balls flying every where. We use tables as forts and its crazy....yea pretty intense....I threw so hard my whole right arm and leg were sore all sunday...i didn't figure out why till that night. Any ways so after words we went for som Zone Support. The Ewa beache 1st Elders had a baptism and we were there!! It was a sweet experience and I love our font..it is pretty sweet! I will take pictures of the Church btw because it is....different but really cool!!! =] any ways then we are supposed to get blessings through out hte week with people that is how we tract. =] WE didnt have any even though we have CHOKE new investigators and every thing else!!!! So we spent 2 hours tracting and got 6 blessings!!! THAT NEVER HAPPENS!!! and we got a new investigator from it!!! YEA pretty happy about that!!! =]
I am super worried about one of our Recent Converts. She is having a hard time and she really was attached to the Elders before us...She missed church yesterday and she is usually there....Oh well we will be seing her on Wednesday...All will be well, if we just follow the spirit!!!
I keep reminding myself that I must be diginified at all times. Its is okay, because when I go back to the world I will still have my Hello Kitty lunch box and can eat all the Dinosaur Peanut and Honey sandwitches I want!!!
Oh Accomplishment of the week, I finished our Heratage!!! Now I can mark it off in my Packet. Our Mission president gave us a packet that we can study and it helps our personal study and we are able to get medallions for the sun stars and moon when we accomplish each level!!! any ways!!! That will be cool to work for!!
Well, Mahalo for READING!! I love you all!!!!
And thanks to those of you who send me letters!!! They are really nice to have, I can only write back on P-days!!! so Sorry if  I am behind!!! Lovies!!
Sister Hudson!

Transfers next week? Already? Weird!

aloha every one!!! Hawaii is great. Lots of sun shine. I got a new dress and its floor length but I love it!!! it was like 10 dollars at ross and way cute! I will send pictures some time! Sis Nielsen and I have been working super hard at getting new investigators. It is hard because we are trying to be strictly obedient. It gets easier each day. =] I have realized how much I love studying my scriptures. Infact I just bought some new scriptures today that I plan to study while here on my mission. they arent special but that is why I wanted them! So when I am done here I will have a mission full of memories to look back on. =] They will be special while I am done. I am well here. No crazy health issues. I am seeing now how I was needed to wait for 4 weeks for my mission call. I am supposed to get some tests done on my thyroid. I got the basic blood draw done today and that was nice, now I don't have to worry for a few more months. But I need to get extra tests done. It will take me a little longer to get the date and extra test. They  want to do a biopsy to make sure my thyroid is healthy. (not just acting but that it is all bueno) so I am waiting to hear back...Pray that they will get a copy of the ultrasound easily enough. I trust heavenly father and his plan. He has guided me thus far and will continue to do so. =] So it wont be for a while until i hear back about that. any ways ummm SIS Nielsen and I have been working hard like i stated before but our numbers aren't really showing it. But Sis Nielsen was able to listen to the spirit and we visited a less active family. They gave us a sketchy refferal but we went. We asked to pray with Jay and then we asked him to be baptised. He said he was interested  but he goes to GUAM soon for work...who knows when he is going to come back. Yet I felt so good about it SIS Nielsen and I did our happy dance and went to visit annother family (keep in mind we had been fasting all day and had a doughnut as a snack. (from a member) that was it. I am so tired and hungry at this point. but we visit another family and WHALA!!!! We showed him the Doctrine of CHRIST AND HE WANTS TO TAKE THE LESSONS!!! WHAT!! yay!!! so it is all working out!!! Yea we havent had a very exciting week but all has been well.
Transfers are next week Sis Nielsen and I feel like we will be here a little longer. =] I feel that my burdens are lifting because I am just taking action asking questions and following the spirit (others think of their gut but its really the spirit) I feel all of your love and prayers. It means so much to me!!!
I love you all!!! I am well truely and things seem to be working out.
-Love sister Deena May

I'M STILL A GREENIE!!!

Aloha, how is every one? things here are good! SO not a lot crazy yet but hey I am still Green! Well Sister Nielsen is a sister Trainer. So that means she gets to visit sisters around us and see how they are. This calling is between a District Leader and Zone Leader. (just for girls) any ways that means we have lot's of exchanges to go on. She has left 3 times and that will mean by the end of the week I have been incharge of my area 4xs. Miricles happen on exchanges. We met a few people who are so sweet and humble. Words can't describe how much I love HAWAII and the LOCALS! So there is a less active part memeber family we are teaching. Dale is a nonmeber but his new wife and kids are members. I can't express the love I have for this family enough! Dale is so smart! He is on top of it! He listens and puts up with my silly examples. =] YEA!!!
Well he has accpeted a baptismal date! =] YAY!!!! We did our comittment dance in the car! The spirit was so strong!!! We pray every day for the family!!! =] GAH!!! I love being a missionary!
There is this other investigator that we have been teaching named CARL. =] YEA!!! Carl is great he is stubborn just like Pappa Smurf. Carl is sooo Close!!! blah!!! =] It is okay! We love him to peices!!!! He gives us a head ache sometimes though!!! =] In a good way.
My life is pretty good, just taking each day as it is.
General Conference was all about family (at least thats what I picked up) I really needed to hear that! This gospel is so true!! I have learned that my reason is to help others come unto christ and make temple covenants!!! =]
So last thing, I am so glad we grew up the way we did. Things were hard at times. I have been blessed to know good people of other faiths. I learned through them Christians don't fight with other Christians. Yesterday after confrence things were hard because we were going to pray with people and were talked at by a man who was trying to argue his convictions with ours. We just said, YEA WE AGREE!!!!  WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD! WE KNOW HE LOVES US!!! and so on but he really wasn't ready to hear from us. I don't know why but it really shifted some gears in my soul. When he was done yelling I felt peace because I bore solom testimony to him that I know the restored gospel is upon the earth that christ lives and he loves us!!!!
It is so true!!! I promise if you read the BOOK OF MORMON with real intent and pray to know if it is true HEAVENLY FATHER WILL ANSWER YOU!!!
I love all of you very much, always,
Sister Hudson

No Traction

Aloha every one. How're are things going there? things here are good. A lot really. Last Monday we were really late. We ran around here and there trying to sort things out. So when we finally got to email it was way loud and I couldn't think. Then when we were finally done we went to the store., Our dinner appointment was a a little better. Woops we were running behind. So we get my new sandals and our food. I was so excited I put them on in the car loaded my arms with our things. We get out and start to walk up the hill. First I think I a m good then I look at Sister Nielsen and she looks ate me. She asked if I was okay. I( said to her as seriously as I could. NO traction. 2 seconds later I fall flat on my face. Yea...That was fun. I laid there for a few minutes and laughed then we run up and shower off really fast. Needless to say our dinner appointment wasn't very happy.
The week went by really fast. Tuesday was Zone Conference. Wahoo....That lasted all day. Friday we went to a musical fireside. We were asked to sing. Well I accidently let it slip my companion has a good voice. Sorry Sister Nielsen...So we dragged the Zone Leaders to sing. We sang a really beautiful version of I know that my redeemer lives. We practiced once and thought we were good. Then while we were singing page 6 got stuck....it was really awkward. Elder Earl played into it really well. After words we elegantly left the room. That night we had transfers with the sisters. I was in charge all Saturday  As sister Nielsen Says, " Miracles happen on exchanges" Well we were able to contact this referral we had had for a week. He and his family was home. So we got his number and then we went our merry way.
Then on Sunday we went to visit a few members and then we went to our dinner appointment. They were having a cookout. They had glow in the dark balloons and really delicious Ham. HAAAAAMMMM (PONYO) ;) any ways So as you can see we are fed very well here! In this area at least.
I really have realized what a difference members make with the mission. When we as members can give refferals we are capable of so much more!!!!
So even if you aren't a member of the LDS Faith but you know some one who needs blessings that is what we as missionaries doo!!! =] We pay to be here, we work hard, and really know how much peace and love the lord wants to bless us with.
I love each and every one of you! I am so happy here, it is def hard but it is really worth each and every moment of my time! =]

Aloha and Mahalo!

Not many miracles this week but I think the lord is warming the hearts in our area. Sister Nielsen is great. We have an investigator who is stubborn! He is great but if he were to open his heart then he could get it! Really! Sister Nielsen was trying to teach but she was stressed out so took over, well the spirit did! Um we are also teaching a 9 yr old. He seems to be interested and his Dad really wants it for him. My hope is that the whole family will attend church. ACTIVATION! Ahhhh Conference is soon and Easter! wow I don't even want to think about it!!!
Every I really hope you realize how hard it is if we don't have referrals !! If you know some one who you think this gospel can help by GOLLIE! TELL YOUR MISSIONARIES!!! WE NEED YOU!!! please it is really helpful. ;) speak up help warm others hearts! Don't you want to share the Blessings of God with your friends and families!!! Then act on it! ;0

Ewa Beach 2nd Ward

Aloha everyone! Things here a crazy!
So! For starters the MTC was great...at first it was like a Disney land of food as Sister Mottle put it. Then after a few days it got really boring. I do recommend the Wraps/Twister Fries!
The Laundry room is always full so we decided that early was best. My companion Sister Tateoka and I got along great! Ummmm The MTC is spiritually exhausting! Yea! Really !
So on March 12th we set out for the airport. I called my Dad and Rachel I ended up giving the rest of my calling card to a friend who was calling all the way to Alabama! We, the girls in my MTC Room, were all craving PIZZA so we had really expensive PIZZA at the airport!! IT Was delicious!!
Our flight was 7 hours long...we all napped and tried to avoid watching the in flight movie...The hardest is when the put on 2 of my favorite TV Shows...I ended up napping again to avoid it.
We landed and President Dalton greeted us at the airport. We then went to eat. Normally we have a nice Hawaiian Dinner but their was a baptism that they wanted us to see so we went to TACO Bell, DAD I thought of you. He told us to not tell any one but I told him that you probably would say THAT'S MY KIND OF MAN! lol jk! any ways the baptism was great! By the time we got to their home we were so tired. We opened our official calls to our first area companion and information. Every one embouchure the name! EWA is acutally pronounced EVA beach. Whaipahu  is pronounced WHYPAHOO.
Well We spend most of the next day at the tabernacle and got our cards medical and expenses and were given the basic information on how to go about business. Then we were set loose to talk to people on the street. There were so many missionarys every where!!! BTW our group was the largest 13 sisters and 8 elders. CRAZY!
My companion and I are all new to our area, yea!! WHITE WASHING! We kicked the elders out and moved in. The ward didn't know so we got a lot of confused phone calls in and out. The people here are nice. They love to feed you.. no wonder the average weight gain is 40-60 lbs!!! So my goal is to loose that much weight during my mission!
So as my companion and I realized that the Elder's clean is the sister's clutter. We plan to take pictures with the really random things we found in the drawers.. don't even ask about the area book. we will send a picture of half way organizing it!!! WAHHH
Well we have been cleaning a lot and then taking time to go out and teach! We do the prayer approach!!! We get into homes and as a blessing upon the families and then ask what they felt! They all feel something! Always!!!
We have a return appointment sometime next week. We really hope he wants to learn more...I feel iffy about it but we are praying for him to have the desire to learn more about the restored Gospel.
Yesterday(Mondays) are my PDAY! But they had the Zone meetings in Honolulu so we are taking it today. Inestead of waiting of Sister Nielson I went to visit some other sisters in a Trio because their sister was attending the meeting. I didn't email home but I did get a crazy nap!
We had a play date! So Sister Fong (From Japan) was with me and sister Mottl! Sister Mottl (Pronounced motle) and I were roomies and in the same district in the MTC. She is the one who compared THE MTC food to Disnely Land of Food! We went shopping, watched the Testaments, I got a really nice 1.5 hour nap! great! This will never ever happen again!!!
We went to the park next door and walked around. haha it is a joke that we had a play date sister Fong was the baby sitter and that our moms Sister Nielsen and Smoot were away for work bwahahahah!!! jk any ways its great!

BTW Sister Nielsen is my Companion. She is great she is a year older then me and is really excited about the work. She is hard working and I aspire to be like her. =]
Well Things here are good, write me!!!! <3 Always!!!

Squeaking Through the Spirit

Family!!!! And FRIENDS!!!
All is well I have a lot to tell but so little time. thank you all for you love and support. I have felt the prayesrs. I love that I am here. I havent really gotten home sick. I have decided that I am not going to allow myself to get home sick. I tyrust what I am doing is worth it. I am so glad I have this opportunity to learn and grow. So first night I was way sick wit...BRONKITIS. AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME WITH THAT! We spoke to an investigator named 3J we we were as a large group trying to teach him. We expressed God's love for him this that every where. I finally spoke up. All it turned out to be was a little squeak through the microphone but I was impressed to shar gods great love for him. I told him that I was in a place where I needed answers from god. That my dad who has CP weas my strength He said thatr He felt like god hated him and that he was un important. I tolde him that we are children of god and that we are greatly loved by him. I exdpressed that the health challanges and things were because he allosw us to grow and learn. I told him that God loved him so much that through the Atonement those pains are not his alone to Suffer. ....he cried... woops...it was awsome.
My companion is Sister Tateoka, she is wonderful! I cant tell you how bright, kind and caring she is. The next day I went to the Dr. and found out what was wrong. I got a zpack and the next day I was better. NOw I am done and still sniffly. I should be better by now so we are going back to get thigs checked out. =]
We are learning so fast and our days are so full. I am running again. I hope to keep it up. I have wonderful roomates all of whome are going to Hawaii. We have 10 sister total and 8 elders going too! Wahoo!!! A totoal of us are leaving for Hawaii on the 12th!!! Wowza!!!
We are currently teaching a guy named Carlos he loves his family and we as a companionship are trying hard to learn how to teach him The spirit is a wonderful companion to the both of us. Sister Tateoka is an ispiration and ha the knack for leadership and teaching. I am trying to focus on how to trust that still small voice! I love the spirit and i am trying to let my gard down and allow him to guide our lessons and our opportunites. I know this is practice but as a companionship we are tyring to treat this a real as possible. Our other investigator was sick so we went on a trio. Sister Weaver and Mottle were so wonderful. They teach by the spirit and have beautiful testimonys. I have great examples here!!! =]
The food isn't bad but it gets boring after a while. We are supposed to be getting Pizza on Friday. =]
Ha well all is well we are going to the temple sometime today. I have so much more to learn and I cant wait to share what I love and know to be true!
Keep true to the faith Brothers and Sisters!
Always, Sister Deena May
